Program Notes

Ekaggata is a Pali term used in Theravada Buddhism used to describe an intensely focused single point of concentration. It arises at the tip of the nose after an extended period of meditation on the breath. Ekaggata is a key factor in jhāna practice, the practice of total immersion into an object of concentration, such as the breath or body sensations.
